Toddler

Classroom Curriculum

Toddlers embody constant change as they use their new fine and gross motor skills to explore and interact with their environment. Rock and Roll staff encourages curious students through intentional “works,” material lessons placed on accessible shelves around the classroom.
Classroom works are carefully designed to develop and strengthen fine motor skills, introduce foundational math and language concepts, and promote self-care and independence.

Our experienced teachers work with children to develop the patience, stamina, and emotional resilience to make mistakes, ask for help, and try again.

Music Education

Music class is always exciting with toddlers on the move. RRDC specialists facilitate joyful music-making sessions with a mix of classic early childhood music repertoire, new songs and games, world music selections, and instrument and prop play.

Toddlers hop, wiggle, run, gallop, and sway along as they embody music concepts through gross motor movement and begin to explore their singing and speaking voices. With music games and activities, toddlers learn basic musical concepts and connect to adults and peers through music play.

Cultural Curriculum

Toddlers engage with culture on a sensory level. Using primary source picture books, sensory activities, cooking, crafts, and music, toddlers immerse themselves in the sights, sounds, and smells of new regions of the globe.

Designed by ZIBI Consulting Group for JAMI Rock and Roll Daycare, the toddler cultural curriculum allows students dive deeply into a different world region every two months, giving toddlers intimate experiences with global culture from a young age.
